Lloyd Accounting — located in Hiawatha, IA — is a growing team of CPAs and financial professionals offering outsourced Controller and CFO services. We help businesses, especially in construction and real estate, with hands-on accounting leadership, operational support, and strategic guidance.

We’re looking for a Controller to join our team and make an impact!

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys getting into the details while also thinking big-picture. You'll work directly with business owners, collaborate with our internal team, and help shape the financial success of the companies we support.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll manage and guide full-cycle accounting processes including:

• Preparing accurate and timely monthly financials, reconciliations, and trial balances
• AIA billing, accruals, depreciation, and prepaid calculations
• Cash flow management, forecasting, and budgeting
• Sales tax filings and multi-jurisdictional research
• Intercompany activity tracking and compliance
• 1099 and W-2 preparation and filings
• Payroll processing for clients across industries
• Partnering with clients and team members to improve financial clarity and operations
• Have direct experience in real estate and/or construction accounting
• Understand job costing, purchasing, construction financing, and vendor billing
• Are confident using Quick Books, Foundation, and other accounting software
• Communicate clearly and professionally with business owners, clients, and vendors
• Work independently with strong attention to detail and deadline management
• Want to join a collaborative, high-trust team that values people and relationships
• Enjoy fast-paced environments and juggling multiple projects
