Accounts Payable Specialist (Long-Term Contract)

West Branch, IA | Manufacturing Environment | Long-Term Contract

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment? We are partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the West Branch area seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day invoice processing and vendor payment operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

+ Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently

+ Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation

+ Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries

+ Code invoices and ensure proper approvals are obtained

+ Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments

+ Maintain vendor records and assist with onboarding new vendors

+ Reconcile vendor statements and assist with month-end AP activities

+ Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and accounting teams to ensure timely payment processing

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

+ 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume environment

+ Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy

+ Experience matching invoices, purchase orders, and receipts

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software

+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
