Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience
Position OverviewThe Accounting Assistant Floater supports daily office and grain operations, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, strong customer service, and efficient workflow across responsibilities.
Work Schedule- Standard
Hours:
Monday
- Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM - Seasonal
Hours:
Monday
- Saturday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Office and Accounting Duties
- Provide customer service
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Maintain grain records
- Perform scale operations
- Manage office supply inventory
- Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Provide customer service related to grain transactions
- Buy grain
- Issue grain checks
- Issue grain contracts
- Issue grain warehouse receipts
- Perform daily grain position reconciliation
- Quote grain prices
- Operate scale for incoming and outgoing grain
- Perform grain grading
- Proficiency in general computer applications required
- Willingness to learn Gold-Eagle Accounting system and grain database
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access preferred
- General bookkeeping knowledge and skills required
- Basic knowledge of grain quality requirements is helpful
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel to Gold-Eagle locations as needed
- Travel will be conducted using a company vehicle
Salary: $20 - $23 per hour
