Daycare Cook

Overview

Join our Daycare team as a Cook and help create a safe, caring environment by preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children each day. Van Buren County Hospital is seeking a dependable Daycare Cook to join our Daycare team. This position is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for children and staff, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with CACFP requirements and food safety standards.

• Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks following CACFP guidelines and allergy considerations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen
• Order, stock, and manage food and supply inventory
• Complete required meal production records and documentation
• Assist with nutrition activities for children
• Perform child care provider duties as needed

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current Serv Safe, CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, and Universal Precautions certifications (or ability to obtain)
• Prior food service experience preferred

Full-time, Monday–Friday, Day Shift
