Overview

NASDA Part-time Field Enumerator - Ida County. NASDA - National Association of State Departments of Agriculture is seeking part-time capable individuals to undertake tasks that support our organization. Prior experience in sales or agriculture, working with diverse personalities, and possessing basic mathematical skills are highly desirable.

• Conduct interviews in a professional and representative manner, communicating benefits in survey-related activities to a diverse range of agricultural operations in person and over the telephone.
• Perform crop counts in designated agricultural fields.
• Enter detailed data gathered from agricultural operators in a timely manner; report daily progress, time, and mileage.
• Participate in comprehensive training for studies on animal and plant health, farming practices, procedures, and questionnaires.

• Ability to travel up to 250 miles on a quarterly basis for training, as needed.
• Private workspace with a functional telephone and minimal distractions; access to a maintained personal vehicle for travel.
• Proficiency in computer systems and/or iPads; ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with multiple tasks.
• Physical ability to examine crop status in fields, lift/carry up to 40 lbs., walk on uneven ground for up to 100 yards.
• Flexible schedule that may include some evenings and weekends.
• Starts at $17.75, plus mileage reimbursement and required supplies.
