NASDA Part-time Field Enumerator - Lyon County

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is currently seeking part-time capable individuals to undertake tasks that support our organization and provide a fulfilling experience for all employees. Prior experience in sales or agriculture, working with diverse personalities, and possessing basic mathematical skills are highly desirable.

• Collect accurate, unbiased data through in-depth interviews with agricultural operators, both in person and over the telephone.
• Conduct crop counts in designated fields.
• Enter and report detailed data gathered from operators in a timely manner, including daily progress, time, and mileage.
• Participate in comprehensive training on animal and plant health, farming practices, and questionnaires as required.

• Mandatory private workspace with a functional telephone and minimal distractions.
• Personal vehicle for travel related to field duties.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Proficiency in computer systems and/or iPads.
• Experience working in a deadline-driven environment with multiple tasks.
• Ability to examine crop status in corn or soybean fields.
• Capacity to lift/carry up to 40 lbs. and walk up to 100 yards on uneven ground.
• Ability to travel up to 250 miles quarterly for training.
• Background check clearance.

Compensation:
Starts at $17.75 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement and required supplies.
