DESIGN SERVICES DRAFTER II – Join to apply for the role at Engineering Services and Products Company.
A successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing a broad array of structural and agriculture related products to meet specific customer needs. The role requires proficiency in 3D design software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, and/or Tekla. You will produce quick and accurate drawings and models, delivering projects on time and managing complex projects that include researching, designing, and developing methods and materials to increase operational efficiency.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Participate in project calls and meetings to understand customer needs.
- Coordinate and consult with engineers to complete projects and produce basic drawings.
- Utilize CAD software tools to create building blueprints and all relevant construction details.
- Use CAD modeling to develop new components and products, creating part and assembly drawings for manufacturing.
- Understand new part processes and templates.
- Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
- Develop practical solutions to unique challenges posed by a customer’s requirements.
- Provide creative and cost‑saving ideas to improve product design.
- Work with manufacturing personnel, both internal and external, to improve design details.
- Review existing designs and templates for accuracy.
- Work on multiple projects while remaining highly organized.
- Meet or exceed metric goals in the department.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Solid Works, or other related 3D rendering software.
- Will learn Tekla software to become proficient.
- Strong MS Office skills, internet browsers, and ERP system knowledge.

- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree preferred, or equivalent education, experience, and related training.
- 2–5 years of experience in detailing and drafting.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityApplication of common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical DemandsRegular standing, sitting, walking; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. Regular lifting or moving up to 25–50 pounds.
