We are currently seeking an experienced Urologist for a locum tenens opportunity near Marengo, IA. This position is ideal for a dedicated physician looking to provide essential urology services while helping a facility bridge the gap during their search for full-time staff. This role offers flexibility, with coverage needed for 1-2 weeks per month on an ongoing basis.

• Clinic Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• On-Call Requirements: To be determined, with the possibility of minimal call coverage
• Weekend Requirements: To be determined based on the facility's needs

• Clinic Features:
  • Location: A bright, airy building less than one mile from the hospital.
  • Facilities: 3 procedure rooms, each equipped with a Cystoscope.
  • Exam Rooms: 12 exam rooms available.
  • On-Site Lab and Ultrasound: Fully staffed with an ultrasound technician.
  • Technology: Dragon Dictation system, 10 Olympus fiber optic scopes with video monitors.
  • Scope Maintenance: Scopes are cleaned and picked up by the hospital.
  • Documentation Systems: EPIC for clinic use; CENER for hospital documentation.

• Daily Clinic Patients: Approximately 25 patients, including 4-5 new consults per day.
• Patient Demographics: All adult and geriatric patients.
• Trauma Level: Level III designation.

• Support Staff: 6 RNs, referral clerk, clinic supervisor, on-site lab and ultrasound technician.
• Solo Coverage: No other urologists present during the locum assignment; however, the facility is actively recruiting three full-time urologists.

• Board Certification: Required in Urology.
• Licensure: Active Iowa State License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Certifications: ACLS certification required.
• Preferred Candidates: Local or those able to drive in are highly preferred.
