Fordham University Office of Military and Veterans' Services is seeking applications to teach graduate‑level courses in the Master of Science in Applied Health Informatics. Supporting our aim in building a strong pool of instructors, we encourage highly motivated professionals to join our team in leading the curriculum of this growing program. On‑site instruction will take place at our Lincoln Center Campus in Manhattan, NY.
Courses are delivered in a hybrid format, combining online instruction with in‑person sessions. The ideal candidate brings both academic knowledge and industry experience to guide students in applying principles to healthcare settings. Part‑time faculty members will also supervise student projects and capstones. Openings are available starting with the fall 2025 semester.

Salary: $8,798 per course
- Teach 1–2 courses per term.
- Deliver instruction through a hybrid model (asynchronous or synchronous online with in‑person meetings each term).
- Engage students in active learning, facilitate discussions, and encourage real‑world application of course content.
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects; provide timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain regular virtual office hours and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with program leadership and instructional designers to ensure high‑quality course delivery.
- Stay current with trends in health informatics and integrate relevant industry examples into instruction.
- Uphold academic integrity and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Health Information Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an international equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a healthcare or health IT setting.
- Prior teaching experience at the graduate or professional level (preferably in a hybrid or online format).
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Blackboard) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom) will be helpful.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
