The Adel DeSoto Minburn Community School District is seeking certified substitutes interested in substituting for the 2025-26 school year in 1 of our 3 elementary buildings.

Essential Functions

• Delivers elementary school curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
• Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
• This position reports to the building principal or designee at the location to which they are assigned.

Requirements

• Associates degree or 60 semester hours through a college or university (must provide official transcript).
• Current Iowa License (teaching license, substitute license, or substitute authorization license).

Daily Rate: $165.00

Retired Teacher Daily Rate: $185.00

Long Term Sub Daily Rate (after 10 consecutive days subbing in the same position): $196.46

Hourly Rate for a certified substitute fulfilling a classified hourly position: $17.50 per hour

Hourly Rate for a retired certified substitute fulfilling a classified hourly position: $19.50 per hour
