Fordham Law School invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach a course in professional responsibility for foreign‑trained LL.M. students. The expected start date is the fall 2024 semester.

Location: Lincoln Center Campus

Open Date: May 06, 2024

Salary: $2,000 – $15,000 per semester, depending on credits, experience, and practice area.

Employment Type: Part‑time

Seniority Level: Entry level

• Provide a holistic introduction to key professional responsibility aspects that a foreign law‑trained lawyer should consider when working in the U.S. or dealing with U.S. lawyers from abroad.
• Examine the fundamental notions that govern the conduct of lawyers in relation to their clients, third parties, and the courts.
• Develop a syllabus using a textbook, the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, and the NY Rules of Professional Conduct, supplemented by pertinent cases and other materials.
• Shape a set of learning objectives that students will have mastered by the end of the course.
• Evaluate and grade student performance in alignment with the appropriate grading curves, providing constructive feedback to foster students’ understanding of core concepts.

• Juris Doctor degree with expertise in advising lawyers on issues relating to professional responsibility.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
