ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will support automation projects through design, programming, assembly, installation, and support at Berry Plastics Corporation. They should have a strong background in automation and hands-on mechanical experience. The role may include project management responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Building and programming new and rebuilt equipment
- Following mechanical and electrical prints
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment
- Ensuring adherence to company, industry, and regulatory procedures
- Participating in post-project reviews
- Maintaining safety, environmental, and health standards
Required qualifications:
- Two-year degree in automation, manufacturing, or equivalent hands-on control experience
- Experience in PLC logic, programming, and HMI development
- Knowledge of AC drives setup and communication (preferred)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills for multitasking
- Robotics experience
- Vision systems experience
- Pneumatics experience
- Servo systems experience
