A position in the Iowa Department of Correction is more than a job. The Anamosa State Penitentiary is seeking an Electronic Engineer Technician to maintain electronic systems for our institution.

• Maintain staff telephone and voicemail systems, two‑way radio and pager systems
• Maintain computer systems, incarcerated individual telephone and television systems
• Maintain security gates and locks, and security cameras
• Perform preventive maintenance, new upgrades and changes for the institution

• Completion of two years of formal training in electronic engineering technology and three years of technical experience in electronic engineering work; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling five years (thirty semesters of equivalent hours equals one year)
• Within a period of time as determined by the appointing authority, certain employees may be required to obtain a Fire Sprinkler Installer and Maintenance License in accordance with Chapter 100D, Iowa Code
