OverviewCEIS | Government is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project / Program Manager to support mission‑critical operations within a national security environment. The role provides cross‑organizational coordination and oversight for complex technical work involving weapons‑related programs, global security initiatives, experimental research, and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities Program Integration & Coordination- Lead cross‑organizational integration and resource de‑confliction across Global Security, NCER, Subcritical, IT, ES&H, IH, HP, Document Control, and other mission partners.
- Ensure work moves forward efficiently by resolving schedule conflicts, clarifying priorities, and coordinating technical dependencies across multiple organizations.
- Maintain situational awareness of project status, risks, and interdependencies to support mission execution.
- Maintain and continuously improve an integrated master schedule, ensuring accuracy and alignment with program objectives.
- Track and manage project milestones, deliverables, and technical work scope across multiple work streams.
- Lead planning and execution of multiple small projects, such as electrical upgrades, network installations, facility maintenance, and other infrastructure support activities.
- Support budget planning and resource allocation activities.
- Conduct regular budget reviews and funding assessments in coordination with financial analysts and program leadership.
- Monitor financial burn rates and provide early warning indicators for funding gaps or changes in project priorities.
- Develop and maintain web‑based dashboards to communicate schedule status, milestones, risks, and performance indicators to senior leadership.
- Prepare briefings, reports, and documentation to support program reviews, stakeholder updates, and risk management activities.
- Identify risks and issues across integrated technical work and elevate/mitigate as appropriate.
- Ensure activities are conducted in alignment with security, safety, quality, and compliance requirements relevant to nuclear and national security environments.
- Maintain strong working relationships with technical authorities and mission partners to ensure alignment with programmatic objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of project or program management experience supporting federal, national security, or DOE/NNSA missions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage integrated schedules, technical projects, and multi‑organizational work environments.
- Experience coordinating with technical, operational, and ES&H organizations.
- Strong understanding of project controls including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, Jira, or similar project management tools.
- Current DOE Q or DoD TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience supporting Weapons, Global Security, Nuclear Critical Experiments, or high‑consequence research programs.
- Experience with DOE 413.3B, Earned Value Management (EVM), or national laboratory project frameworks.
- Familiarity with nuclear operations, experimental research workflows, or secure IT environments.
- Experience developing dashboards or digital workflow tools.
