To plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products and improvements to existing products. This role involves participating in the development of intellectual property, developing and executing testing processes, and generating working prototypes.

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and management.
• Basic understanding of Sukup products preferred.
• Accountability in all tasks.
• Ability to create and read blueprints and understand bills of materials.
• Professionalism.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) software.

• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products and existing product improvements.
• Participate in the development of intellectual property.
• Help develop testing processes and conduct testing and validation of new designs.
• Participate in the generation of working prototypes for testing and potential applications.
• Perform and document engineering calculations to support own design work.
• Prepare engineering documents such as design layouts, diagrams, and schematics of components and assemblies.
• Provide updates and detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
• Check and maintain accurate bills of material.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors as needed in product development processes and in support of company function.
• Work on projects at a level to ensure the project timelines are met.
• Perform engineering-related tasks as required such as production support, customer support, layout function and validation, and supplier contact.
• Check own work to ensure accuracy of spelling, drawing format and organization, dimension and tolerance convention, and conformance with engineering standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
