Job Description
Kinross is looking for a full-time Underground Geologist to join the Nevada Round Mountain site with their Phase X Underground. Reporting to the SR UG Geologist, you will play a key role defining and exploring Round Mountain’s UG deposits. This is an ideal role for a Geologist with background in UG production management, UG Ore Control, Target generation, and UG muck management/reporting.
Job Responsibilities- Managing daily ore control, including mapping, sampling, and muck management/reporting
- Assisting in safe workflow practices for UG Technical Services duties
- Geologic modeling of intercepts and contacts encountered
- BS in Geology
- Strong written communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized and effectively manage priorities in a dynamic work environment
- Proficiency with software such as Vulcan, Leapfrog, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite is preferred
- Be authorized, or able to be authorized, to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Ability to effectively work in a multi-discipline environment
