The Slot Attendant is responsible for the accurate payout of Slot jackpots and providing excellent guest service.
Expected Contributions (Other Duties May Be Assigned)- Accurately paying out all slot machine jackpots and completing associated paperwork.
- Servicing minor slot machine malfunctions.
- Perform basic preventative machine maintenance.
- Verify change bank impress totals, prepare paperwork, and close and open banks.
- Learn and know slot machine code errors.
- Maintain a constant presence throughout the casino floor in order to assist guests with playing and reading slot machines.
- Complete the necessary sign-in and out sheets for radios/keys.
- Understand and follow proper procedures for radio usage.
- Attend all company-required training.
- Comply with all Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines.
- Meet company attendance requirements.
- May be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Must be able to communicate with managers, other employees, and customers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
- High School Diploma or GED Certification required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older to work the gaming floor.
