Traveling Field Service Technician - Unity Point

Overview

Traveling Field Service Technician - Unity Point (5262). Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $24.00/hr this role supports hospitals across Illinois with critical medical waste services. This is not a desk job—you’ll be on your feet, moving, lifting, and making a real impact every day. Must be able to work in Cedar Rapids, Rock Island, Moline, and Bettendorf during the week.

• Working directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation
• Inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas, including entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients
• Lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day
• Maintaining inventory of containers and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized
• Using a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with the team
• Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service
• Representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic

• Physically fit, comfortable with heavy lifting, and enjoys active, on-the-go work
• Team player who can also work independently without direct supervision
• Strong attention to detail, especially with paperwork and procedures
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Illinois
• Can-do attitude and previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role
• COVID-19 vaccination required due to hospital access
