Job Summary:As a PCA, you’ll be a trusted companion and supportive presence for seniors, providing personal care, assistance, and companionship. This role offers meaningful, steady work in a collaborative, people-focused environment.
Hourly Wage:- $15.50 /hr. to start - $16.50 after 90 days
- Weekdays 8:00 am
-11:00 am, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm every other weekend - Weekdays 4:00 - 7:00pm, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm every other weekend
- Provide personal care, supervision, and companionship
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, transfers, and incontinence care
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Travel to participant homes and escort participants to appointments
- Prompt and monitor medications as appropriate
- Report participant needs or changes to the care team
- Document care in Alaya Care accurately and consistently
- Support quality improvement initiatives and follow interdisciplinary team plans
- Build strong relationships, offering comfort, dignity, and respect
Skills and Abilities:
- Genuine empathy and commitment to elderly care
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
- Calm, patient, and consistent in providing care
- Independent decision-making when needed, rooted in team consensus
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain at employer’s expense)
- One year of experience with frail or elderly populations preferred, or willingness to complete company-paid training
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Successful completion of background checks, drug screening, physical, and TB screening
- Ability to move throughout the day and assist with participant mobility
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or move at least 25 pounds
- Ability to assist with participant evacuation if needed
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols in participant homes
