Business Office Manager – Part‑time

Job Description

Responsible for the completion of all business office tasks performed at the location.

Essential

Job Duties
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance, and Managed Insurance processes covering Medicaid applications, documentation requirements, Medicare practices, and Insurance Authorization processes.
  • Knowledge of PCC is a plus.
  • Management of the Resident Fund Management System.
  • Direct communication with the Billing Company regarding all Accounts Receivable accounts.
  • Manage multiple priorities and maintain regular attendance.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in accounting, healthcare administration, or business management or high school diploma with at least 2 years of business office experience (may substitute degree requirement).
  • Supervisor and healthcare billing experience preferred.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as office manager in a healthcare setting.
  • Two‑year degree in Business or Accounting.
  • Software proficiency: working knowledge of Excel, Word, and MS Office is required.
  • Experience utilizing Point Click Care software is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public.
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
  • Honest, fair, dependable, respecting confidentiality and the privacy of others.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
  • Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks.
