Position Overview:

Palo Alto County Health System (PACHS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Physical Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. This full-time role involves providing high-quality physical therapy services to inpatients, outpatients, and home care clients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, skilled in evaluation and treatment planning, and committed to professional ethics and growth.

• Provide physical therapy evaluations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with established plans of care.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students per Iowa Physical Therapy Practice Act.
• Maintain compliance with APTA Code of Ethics and Guide for Professional Conduct.
• Assist in daily operations and marketing of the Physical Therapy Department.
• Participate in program development and departmental policy planning.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic/paper medical records.
• Provide consultations to outreach facilities as needed.
• Support departmental procedures and assist with managerial duties when requested.
• Ensure care is appropriate for all age groups and cultural backgrounds served.

• Completion of a Physical Therapist program at an accredited institution.
• Current Iowa Physical Therapy license.
• Valid Iowa Driver's License.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain system logins/passwords.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

• Minimum of one year of clinical experience (preferred but not required).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Autonomous decision-making ability.
• Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations.
