Works in the operating room environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgeon. Functions as a member of the healthcare team by performing scrub duties for patients of all ages. Scrubs for all types of surgical procedures, demonstrates and maintains sterile technique. Monitors and obtains supplies for the operating room and central supply.
Certifications, Licensure &/Or RegistrationsCurrent Surgical Technician certificate or diploma. Current certifications in BLS and Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting or completion according to hospital Education Policy.
Education And/Or ExperienceGraduate of an accredited Surgery Technician program.
