Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Employee Relations

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Safety Coordinator / HR Generalist role in Cherokee, IA. Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and administer workplace safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety training, orientations, audits, and incident investigations; track corrective actions and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation, including incident logs and training records.
- Partner with leadership to promote a strong safety culture and proactive risk management.
- Support HR functions including employee onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and policy compliance.
- Assist with recruitment efforts, new hire orientation, and employee training initiatives.
- Maintain personnel files and HR documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support performance management, disciplinary processes, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and internal procedures.
- Collaborate with management to support continuous improvement across safety and human resources functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Safety Management, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in safety coordination, HR generalist duties, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety programs, and employment law.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
