Cloud Systems Administrator

Join Hills Bank and Trust Company as a Cloud Systems Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and support of Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions across our banking infrastructure.

• Design, secure, and scale cloud architectures for Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, Entra, Copilot, and other Microsoft services, ensuring compliance and resiliency.
• Collaborate with IT security, risk, audit, and compliance to maintain regulatory standards (FFIEC, FDIC, GLBA) and perform security baselines and vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor system health with Azure Monitor, implement robust backup and disaster recovery, and test recovery procedures regularly.
• Plan, assess, and execute migration projects from on‑premises to cloud environments with minimal business disruption and validate post‑migration performance.
• Provide Tier 2 support for identity, networking, and application integration issues, escalating to vendors when necessary.
• Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides to support knowledge sharing.
• Participate in a high‑performing team, driving continuous improvement, optimizing performance, and reducing costs.
• Support on‑call, after‑hours, scheduled maintenance, and weekend availability for scheduled activities.

• Associate’s degree or four to seven years of systems administration experience; or equivalent education/experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies and cloud migration strategies.
• Expertise in identity and access management, conditional access, and cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency with Power Shell scripting for automation and administration.
• Experience with hybrid environments and Active Directory synchronization (Entra Sync).
• Strong troubleshooting, oral, and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
