The Opportunity
We're seeking a motivated Field Service Manager to join our growing team and take ownership of our technical support and field service operations. Reporting directly to the COO, you'll be the critical link between our clients, service providers, offshore support team, and equipment suppliers. WhatYou'll Do Technical Support Leadership
- Manage a small team of offshore technical support representatives
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues
- Develop troubleshooting protocols and support documentation
- Interface directly with clients experiencing machine technical issues
- Coordinate with third‑party service providers who perform on‑site repairs
- Manage relationships with Chinese equipment suppliers for parts procurement
- Order spare and replacement parts to resolve client issues efficiently
- Travel approximately 50% of the time across the lower 48 states
- Conduct on‑site diagnostics for urgent, complex, or unresolved machine issues
- Perform hands‑on troubleshooting and repair when necessary
- Document technical issues and solutions to build institutional knowledge
- Identify recurring technical issues and develop preventive solutions
- Streamline parts ordering and inventory management processes
- Create training materials for support team and service providers
Required Qualifications
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Greater Metro Atlanta area
- Comfortable with ~50% travel (primarily domestic, lower 48 states)
- Strong technical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication skills for managing multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel on short notice
- Experience in field service, technical support, or operations management
- Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience (vending, HVAC, appliance repair, etc.)
- Familiarity with managing remote teams or contractors
- Experience with international suppliers or cross‑border logistics is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity
- Self‑starter who thrives on ownership and accountability
- Customer‑focused with strong service orientation
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
- Adaptable and comfortable wearing multiple hats
- Eager to learn and develop new technical skills
