DescriptionFordham Law School invites applications for an adjunct instructor position to teach a Law course in “Conflicts of Law”. A study of the principles and rules applicable when courts adjudicate transactions connected with more than one jurisdiction. Problems of choice of law, jurisdiction, and recognition of judgments are considered in light of traditional and modern analyses and the constitutional limitations. The Law School is particularly interested in courses that combine both theory and current legal practice.
Responsibilities- Teach an engaging course at the Law School exploring legal issues in Conflicts, including in-depth analysis of regulations, and due‑process requirements
- Develop a thirteen‑week syllabus that covers essential topics within Conflicts of Law Law.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative learning environment conducive to critical thinking, discussion, and debate.
- Shape a set of learning objectives that students will master by the end of the course.
- Juris Doctor degree with a specialization in Conflicts of Law or similar subject area.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
The salary range for this job is $2,000-$15,000 per semester, dependent on the number of credits offered, experience, and practice area.
