Environmental Services Aide

The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors at Montrose Health Center. This position plays an important role in infection prevention, resident satisfaction, and maintaining a welcoming, homelike environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, offices, and other designated areas.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces according to facility cleaning schedules.

Follow proper infection prevention and control procedures, including appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).Collect and properly dispose of trash and waste.

Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and shared equipment.

Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and cleaning supplies in a clean, organized, and safe manner.

Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and damaged equipment to the appropriate personnel.

Respect residents' privacy, dignity, personal belongings, and individual preferences while performing cleaning duties.

Assist with room preparation for new admissions, discharges, and room changes.

Complete assigned cleaning schedules and documentation as required.

Work collaboratively with the Environmental Services team and other departments.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred but not required.

Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and infection prevention practices preferred.

Ability to communicate respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers.

Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting as required by the position.
