Maintenance Repairs Supervisor

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Bureau of Woodward Resource Center (WRC) is seeking a Maintenance Repairs Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time, salaried position.

The Maintenance Repairs Supervisor is vital in ensuring the Plant Operations team is equipped with the knowledge and skills to repair and maintain the WRC infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervision of Assigned Staff: In collaboration with the Plant Operations Manager, supervise the work performed and projects completed by multiple maintenance/skilled trade staff and departments to include Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting, Electrical, HVAC, and Locksmith.
• Inspect and Evaluate: Inspect, approve, verify, troubleshoot, and track small, medium, and large-scale projects on the WRC campus. Confer on-site with project supervisors, lead workers, vendors, and pertinent field staff. Inspect and evaluate facilities infrastructure (grounds, buildings, mechanical systems, and utility distribution systems) to determine function, operation, condition, efficiency, lifecycle, maintenance, and preventative maintenance needs.

  Assist management to establish facility maintenance priorities and designate projects for consideration of Major Maintenance, DOT/IPR, and Capital funding. Ensure compliance and response to regulatory agency requirements. Coordinate outside vendors and facilitate projects involving DAS A&E services.

  Complete actions related to evaluations, PDQs, essential functions, and other personnel related matters.
