Operations Manager

About the RoleA team member will lead and supervise a team of welding technicians performing industrial welding in manufacturing facilities. Must be familiar with welding/fitting. Will always hold team to company and customer performance expectations. Will require some computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook.
Responsibilities- Hold daily start up meeting with team
- Hold daily toolbox talks with team
- Delegate daily work assignments
- Meet with customer contacts as required daily, weekly
- Provide direction on work execution
- Ensure accountability of team members in quality, safety, and engagement
- Assist as needed in field
- Conduct quality audits of jobs in field
- Ensure all documentation is completed timely and correctly
- Establish performance goals for team members
- Recognize team accomplishments
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Policy understanding and enforcement
- Have deep knowledge of craft skills
- OSHA certification, 10-hour required, 30-hour preferred
- Conduct employee performance reviews
- Maintain documentation for any employee issues that arise. Escalate issues to account manager as required
- Review and approve time-off requests
- Appropriately schedule employee time off to ensure proper manpower levels
- Inform employees of any denials of time off and explain reasoning to them
- Maintain direct on-going communication with other company supervisors to ensure smooth workflow processes
- Accept feedback from others, set goals to improve performance based upon this feedback
- Inspires and motivates others to perform well
- Exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by company and customer
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in supervisory skills
- 5+ years of welding/fitting experience
- Good facilitator skills and strong computer skills
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization
- Ability to lead work within cross-functional teams
Salary: up to $96,054.00 (DOE)
