Welding Supervisor

A team member will lead and supervise a team of welding technicians performing industrial welding in manufacturing facilities. Must be familiar with welding/fitting. Will always hold team to company and customer performance expectations. Will require some computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook.

• Hold daily start up meeting with team
• Hold daily toolbox talks with team
• Delegate daily work assignments
• Meet with customer contacts as required daily, weekly
• Provide direction on work execution
• Ensure accountability of team members in quality, safety, and engagement
• Assist as needed in field
• Conduct quality audits of jobs in field
• Ensure all documentation is completed timely and correctly
• Establish performance goals for team members
• Recognize team accomplishments
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Policy understanding and enforcement
• Have deep knowledge of craft skills
• OSHA certification, 10-hour required, 30-hour preferred
• Conduct employee performance reviews
• Maintain documentation for any employee issues that arise. Escalate issues to account manager as required
• Review and approve time-off requests
• Appropriately schedule employee time off to ensure proper manpower levels
• Inform employees of any denials of time off and explain reasoning to them
• Maintain direct on-going communication with other company supervisors to ensure smooth workflow processes
• Accept feedback from others, set goals to improve performance based upon this feedback
• Inspires and motivates others to perform well
• Exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by company and customer

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in supervisory skills
• 5+ years of welding/fitting experience
• Good facilitator skills and strong computer skills
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization
• Ability to lead work within cross-functional teams

Salary: up to $96,054.00 (DOE)
