Position Summary

Responsible for ensuring all final inspected hose meets customer requirements, conforms to specifications established by Parker and industry standards. Packages hose into reel or box depending on customer requirement.

Organizational Relationships/Scope

• Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader
• Work closely with Maintenance to resolve equipment issues

Responsibilities Essential Functions

• Check for correct inside diameter (I.D.) using the proper ball pin gauge
• Verify outside diameter (O.D.) meets specifications with venire tape or dial caliper
• Identify and eliminate known defects
• Prepare and complete necessary paperwork
• Package hose per customer requirement

Department Specific/Non-essential Functions

• Work safely according to regulations, standards, and procedures; report unsafe conditions or practices
• Prevent excess waste by operating equipment efficiently
• Maintain production schedules
• Participate in programs like Lean Manufacturing and 5-S
• Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Required PPE:
  Safety glasses
• Standing for extended periods, frequent pulling, reaching, grasping; occasional carrying, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting
• High manual dexterity required
• Flexible hours and short notice for overtime

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Production experience preferred but not required

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Good communication skills
• Basic hand tool knowledge
• Sound decision-making
• Strong math, reading, writing skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Visual and mental acuity for quality
• Troubleshooting skills

Skills/Competencies

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
