Pure Fishing is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Automatic Spooling Operators for both 1st and 2nd shift. Pay for 1st shift is $18.15 per hour, and $20.65 per hour for 2nd shift.
What Will You Do?Set up, adjust, and operate multiple automatic spoolers to efficiently produce high-quality fishing line while meeting productivity and quality standards.
Position Responsibilities- Tend multiple spoolers to ensure continuous operation
- Efficiently operate within 8–9 production cells
- Read and interpret production orders for high-complexity machines
- Add and subtract four-digit numbers accurately
- Follow and carry out complex directions
- Maintain appropriate material levels for high-volume production
- Update productivity data throughout the shift and monitor equipment uptime
- Identify correct materials using product identification numbers
- Return empty supply spools to designated flow racks
- Enter completed production data into the computer system
- Use production orders to determine correct materials and setup
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of manufacturing principles, including 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Manufacturing Systems
- Sustain an organized and efficient Lean workstation
- Produce high-quality products with strong attention to detail
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Operate a variety of machines with varying levels of complexity
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues effectively
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Qualifications – Some mechanical aptitude required. Ability to follow instructions and make minor decisions based on provided information
- Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or GED preferred, with 6–12 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense and carry out detailed but straightforward written or verbal instructions. Capable of solving problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide four-digit numbers, including calculations using units of weight measurement
- Physical Ability – Light lifting required; must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
