1st shift Robotic Weld Operator — Rosenboom Machine & Tool

Use robotic welder to weld components for hydraulic cylinders, rods, and tubes according to specifications. Responsibilities include fixture setup, tacking components, monitoring & feeding robotic welder, maintaining quality, using computer programs, and required cleaning and maintenance.

• Weld components for hydraulic cylinders, rods, and tubes;
• Tack components to be welded by the robot;
• Feed parts to robot with as little downtime as possible;
• Maintain welding spatter minimum with spat guards and/or prohibitors;
• Remove spat with manual or power equipment as necessary;
• Monitor and correct weld defects (cold lap, porosity, undercut, etc.);
• Perform daily robot maintenance (cleanup, check for loose connections, etc.);
• Enter required information to computer;
• Complete routing sheets per required process;

• Apply common sense to basic work processes;
• Carries out detailed, written or oral instructions;
• Handles problems involving a few concrete, routine job-specific variables;
• Demonstrates shop math understanding (fractions, percentages, ratios, algebra, geometry, trigonometry) for interpreting prints;
• Reads and interprets sketches and prints;
• Analyzes common welding problems and identifies root causes;
• Measures components and assemblies to verify compliance to print (tape measure, scale, caliper);
