Overview
Stryten Energy in Manchester, IA is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill Production Operator positions in our production departments. Successful candidates must have mechanical ability and accurate math and measurement skills. You should be able to control output of various machines in order to produce quality parts that are within required specifications. You need to meet or exceed production quantity goals set forth each day.
And, candidates should have the ability to work in a team based manufacturing environment.
- Shifts Available: 2nd Shift
- Starting pay rate = $24.50 per hour
Manchester is a city in Delaware County, Iowa, United States, located along the Highway 20 corridor between Dyersville and Independence. Delaware County is centrally located about 45 minutes from Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, and Dubuque.

- Gainshare Bonus: hourly associates have the potential to earn up to 10% of their gross monthly pay; potentially $300 per month
- Quarterly Attendance Bonus: up to $600 each quarter
- Production Bonus: potential monthly bonuses based on plant production goals (e.g., up to $50 per month and more)
- Work with the line team to meet daily production goals
- Perform first piece inspection during the first hour of the workday at the assigned station
- Meet daily production schedule and fill out necessary documentation
- Understand and communicate with all employees to receive training and perform responsibilities
- Follow quality control specs and procedures; maintain accurate and timely SPC charts
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area; perform testing as required
- Perform weekly preventive maintenance on machines
- Follow safety and health regulations for the protection of self and coworkers
- Follow Lean manufacturing procedures and current Quality Systems Requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Previous manufacturing experience helpful
- Computer literate
- Must achieve a passing score on pre-employment assessment
- GED or High School Diploma preferred but not required
- Continuous standing, lifting, bending and twisting
- Occasionally work in extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
- Must wear PPE as outlined in department policy (gloves, respirator, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, etc.)
- Must be able to do some heavy lifting
- Small hand tools, control panels, data collection equipment
- Molds for heat seal machine and related tools
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Previous manufacturing experience helpful
- Computer literacy
- Passing score on pre-employment assessment
- GED or High School Diploma preferred but not required
