Afinitas, a Barry-Wehmiller company, is hiring a Material Handler for our Shipping and Receiving area at our Mediapolis, IA, location.

• Able to organize pick lists and ensure that they are picked for each job
• Work with manufacturing to ensure that parts are readily available on carts in the shop, in the parts room, or other specified place
• If necessary, conduct periodic cycle counts or checks as dictated by the Parts Room Supervisor
• Work with team leaders to clear up problems with pick lists
• Check in packages received by matching items with packing lists
• Put away received stock orders
• Complete receiver transactions in LN
• Physically package parts
• Manage/input data within Excel to ensure organization of parts kits and missing parts
• Identify and pull parts to prepare for shipping
• All other duties as assigned

• Intermediate computer aptitude
• Flexibility in job tasks
• Problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
• Willing to assist in other areas as needed

Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals. Employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location.
