Maintenance Manager

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Manager role in Cherokee, IA. • Lead, supervise, and develop the maintenance team to ensure effective execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Oversee maintenance of production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to support operational goals and reduce disruptions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures, working hands‑on when needed to support timely repairs.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies (e.g., OSHA, GMPs).
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation within the CMMS.
• Promptly address and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or facility concerns.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certifications preferred.
• 3–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and respond to off‑shift or emergency maintenance needs as required.
