Write, edit, and troubleshoot programs for assigned robotic welding machinery, using computer software for programming and other department support. Ensure weldments meet Rosenboom weld specification S903DZ

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Write robotic weld programs that meet the quality specifications of customers and Rosenboom while maintaining minimum weld cycle time.
  • Inspect, measure, and/or test completed weldments and supporting materials to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.
  • Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as gas metal arc welding and gas tungsten arc welding equipment.
  • Be a productive member of the workgroup and adhere to all Rosenboom policies, including safety requirements/procedures, especially when working with robotic equipment, to ensure a safe working environment for all Rosenboom employees.
  • Work in a production setting to facilitate the needs of Rosenboom’s production goals.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance (PM) program for all weld-related equipment. Maintain a 6S program for equipment and tools in the Weld Support Department.
  • Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents – English.
  • Assist in training department peers and production operators as needed.
  • Become familiar with other robot manufacturers and models.
  • Travel for training or to assist other facilities, as required.
  • Use mathematics to solve problems.
  • Demonstrate ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
