Our Central Bi-Products facility in Estherville, IA collects and transforms porcine from meat processing facilities into high quality-feed ingredients and other consumer and industrial products. We offer a guaranteed starting wage of $23.54/Hr. along with a $1/Hr. night shift differential, scheduled increases, and a complete benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, paid holidays, 401K, and so much more!

Shift: Monday-Friday, 12:00am (midnight)-8:00amSaturday hours may be possible on a required or voluntary basis

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilize augers to move materials from between cooker and press areas

Operate up to two machines at a time to separate proteins and grease

Observe gauges to ensure equipment is operating within a safe and efficient motor load Determine if materials need further processing to remove excess moisture

Document production processes and cleaning initiatives

Shovel or use a forklift to dispose of poor-quality materials; operate skid steers to move and/or load material

Change grease filters, as needed

Provide support of other areas of production by watching production cameras

Dispose of floor debris and pressure wash the production floor and equipment

Report any concerns, accidents, downtime, or cost-saving measures to Lead, as needed

Follow all company safety policies, practices, procedures, and improvement initiatives

Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements including environmental and food/feed safety

Maintain positive relationships with others and assist other production or maintenance personnel, as necessary

Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance

Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.

Qualifications Experience in food/feed production, a plus

High level of attention to detail and ability to remain focused on equipment operation for extended periods of time Accurately measure time with a stopwatch and complete basic math problems

Ability to perform duties independently and take ownership of the process

Effectively communicate with internal personnel

Ability to learn how to safely operate a skid steer

Accurately read and understand signs, labels, warnings, and directions

Work in a facility that processes pigs Willingness and ability to work extra hours as needed during the week or weekend

Must be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposes

Physical Requirements Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level

Occasionally push and/or pull heavy objects

Consistently bend at the waist and/or knees

Consistently climb steps up to 20 feet Stand up to 100% of the workday

Ability to work in restricted spaces
