Associate Pastor – Kalona Mennonite Church

Kalona Mennonite Church, a family‑oriented congregation in Kalona, Iowa, seeks a full‑time Associate Pastor to support our vision of life‑giving ministry and the Great Commission.

• Preach approximately 50% of the time and lead worship themes.
• Assist the Lead Pastor in planning worship, special services, and ordinances.
• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and Elders on age‑appropriate engagement and training for lay leadership.
• Provide pastoral support, training, and resources to lay leaders.
• Attend Church Council meetings, serve on committees, and work effectively with staff, Elders, and volunteers.

• Deeply grounded in the biblical story and text.
• Promote Anabaptist theology and hold to the Mennonite Confession of Faith 1995.
• Committed to personal spiritual discipline and growth.
• Willingness to pursue credentialing/ordination through the EVANA Network.
• Post‑secondary education in ministry/theology preferred, but not required.
• Experience in ministry, leadership, and witness.

• Involved in new membership classes, bible studies, retreats, and missions.
• Resource for the music program and supportive community interactions.
• Ability to remain focused on the vision of Kalona Mennonite Church.

Compensation based on the Evertne Financial Pastoral Salary Guidelines, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
