$19.00/hr - $23.00/hr

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the maintenance of commercial landscapes.

• Experience:
  
  1-3 years commercial landscape experience

• Valid Driver’s License issued from state of employment, preferred but not required.

• Ability to communicate effectively with Foreman and team members
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
• Strong commitment to high quality of work and customer service
• Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks
• Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables

• Constantly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walk
• Must be able to see at close vision, distant vision, peripherally, have depth perception and have the ability to adjust focus
• Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
• Frequently required to reach, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, climb and balance
• Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to constantly wear PPE as required by state and federal law (hearing protection, eye protection, safety vest, boots, chaps, face masks)

• Frequently works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
• Frequently exposed to loud noise levels

• Maintain job site as instructed by Foreman; duties include mowing, raking, weeding, shearing, edging, and hand pruning
• Safe operation of equipment (including 21” and 36” mowers, power hedge shears, power shears, backpack blower, aerator)
• Intermediate understanding of plant  hand pruning skills
• Intermediate skill in shearing shrubs and hedges
• Operate all vehicles and equipment in accordance with Monarch Safety Policy
• Abide by Monarch code of conduct at all times
• Show up to work on time; complete tasks within time expectations; follow dress code and inclement weather/sick leave procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Salary range: $19.00 - $22.50
