Description:
Seasonal Conservation Aide position under the supervision of the Director and Park Technician. Assists with maintenance and development of county parks, wildlife areas, and trails. Duties include maintenance on facilities and grounds, roads, trails, signs, fences, etc. such as mowing, trimming, painting, pruning, cleaning, light construction and general upkeep on facilities, equipment and grounds. Some weekend and holiday work required.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid driver's license, at least 18 years of age, experience operating tractors, mowers, skid loaders, and other power equipment is preferred. Ideally pursuing a career in natural resources but not required.
Salary: up to $16.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Up to 40 hours per week, May through August. Starting and ending dates are flexible.
Must be 18 years old at time of employment. Sincere interest in conversation and enjoy working outdoors. Experience in operating equipment and power tools preferred, but not required.
