Position SummaryThe Quality Control & Formulation Manager is a hands‑on technical role responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and innovation of our agricultural product formulations. Acting as both chemist and process owner, this role conducts product testing, develops and optimizes formulations, and ensures compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. While initially operating as an individual contributor, the Manager will also play a key role in building the company’s quality systems and processes to support future growth.
Key Responsibilities Quality Control- Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in‑process batches, and finished products.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory and quality processes.
- Ensure all testing and documentation meets regulatory and company standards.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, documenting corrective actions.
- Design, test, and optimize new product formulations for agricultural applications.
- Conduct experiments to evaluate product stability, compatibility, and performance.
- Translate lab‑scale formulations into production‑ready processes in collaboration with operations.
- Provide technical input to product management and marketing on formulation benefits.
- Maintain accurate lab records, test results, and formulation documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (EPA, OSHA, USDA, and industry standards).
- Prepare reports and technical summaries for leadership review.
- Identify opportunities to enhance product consistency, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Recommend new technologies, methods, or equipment to improve lab and QC practices.
- Contribute technical insights to product development and improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in quality control, formulation chemistry, or product development (agriculture, chemical, or related industry).
- Strong working knowledge of analytical laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to agricultural products.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and communication skills.
