Quality Control Manager

Estherville Foods Inc.

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality team and ensuring that tasks are completed daily, weekly, monthly and annually.

Responsibilities for this job are to ensure the food safety of the product; this includes observing and addressing direct food/food contact surface contamination and employee practices that put product loyee must be knowledgeable and familiar with documentation, procedures and records. The Quality Manager must be able to communicate well, follow directions, identify and correct problems, collect and review data and be self‑motivating.

EXAMPLES

OF RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Assist Quality Director
  • Maintain HACCP, Safe Quality Foods (SQF) and food safety systems
  • Prep, assist and conduct second- and third-party audits
  • Complete customer questionnaires
  • Monitoring and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Reviewing, updating and monitoring written Standard Operating Procedures and SQF procedures, HACCP programs and supporting documentation
  • Conduct employee training on food safety/quality
  • Promote food safety and adhere to USDA and company regulations
  • Lead QA team
SKILLS AND

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in quality assurance in a food product environment is required
  • SQF and HACCP certification is required
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and problem‑solve in the moment
  • Proficient in MS Office software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, exemplifying professionalism and ability to deliver with tact and resolve issues with diplomacy
  • Experience working with USDA and/or FDA is preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business is strongly preferred or equivalent related experience and/or training
