Aisles Online Shopper – Hy‑Vee, Inc.

Hy‑Vee invites candidates for the Aisles Online Shopper position. You will select the best products for our online customers, ensuring accurate grocery selections and friendly service.

• Provide prompt, efficient, friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smile, greet, and address customers by name whenever possible.
• Assist customers in locating products, securing out‑of‑reach items, and loading heavy items.
• Answer telephone calls and e‑mail inquiries promptly, providing friendly, helpful service.
• Accurately select groceries ordered online by customers, choosing highest quality produce, meat, and other fresh products.
• Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones.
• Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines.
• Report to work on schedule and on time.

• Tender customer orders through POS and charge the customer’s credit card.
• Place orders in storage at proper temperature and retrieve before customer arrival.
• Ensure products maintain proper temperature through the entire process.
• Cart to and place in holding area for pick‑up.
• Lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicle.
• Monitor incoming online orders to ensure prompt, on‑time fulfillment.
• Perform other job‑related duties and special projects as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Commitment to the Hy‑Vee Mission and a willingness to promote company values.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with people in a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to identify problems, develop and execute solutions.
• Well organized, able to multi‑task, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily workload with limited supervision.

• Visually able to see detail at near range with or without correction.
• Physically able to perform medium work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 50 lb, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting/carrying of objects of no more than 25 lb.
• Perform stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Most duties performed in a retail store setting. Exposure to dust, noise, and temperature extremes. Possible hazards from moving equipment and possible electrical shock. Constant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

• Pallet jack, box cutter, cash registers, trash compactor, forklift, calculator, telephone, intercom, cardboard compactor, copier, fax.

Has daily contact with store personnel, customers, and the general public.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
