Role Overview
As Kin continues to grow its Agency division, we are looking to add a licensed Insurance Sales Representative to focus on our Independent brokerage division. You will drive business growth by connecting with clients and promoting our wide range of insurance products through A‑rated carriers. You will receive qualified leads from our Marketing team and will not cold‑call.
Day in the Life- Connect with customers via calling, email, and text; actively engage potential customers to understand their insurance needs and present suitable solutions.
- Communicate the unique features and benefits of various carriers’ products, addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Work primarily with company‑provided leads to maximize sales potential and conversion rate.
- Consistently follow up with prospects using phone, text, and email to stay in contact and drive toward sale.
- Meet and exceed sales targets by employing persuasive techniques and seeking new opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including underwriters and customer service representatives, to ensure a seamless experience.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using our CRM system.
- Build custom policies for each customer using internal tools and systems.
- Educate customers on home insurance details to ensure their best understanding.
- Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor offerings to effectively position the Agency division.
- 1+ years of insurance sales experience within a fast‑paced brokerage setting.
- Experience selling with multiple carriers and in multiple states (home, auto, umbrella, jewelry).
- An active Property & Casualty license.
- Outstanding understanding of insurance products and process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport and engage diverse audiences.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills; natural ability to close deals.
- Self‑motivated and results‑oriented; demonstrated commitment to exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other tools/software.
- Call/Contact Center experience (brokerage experience preferred).
- Bilingual ability (Spanish preferred).
- Experience with Citizens Property Insurance.
- Must be available to work 9 am–6 pm CST Monday‑Friday.
- No weekend requirements.
- All shifts are 8 hours plus a 30‑minute lunch break.
We are currently hiring for our February 2026 Sales class.
Compensation At a GlanceOn‑target earnings (OTE) start at $65,000, with uncapped monthly earnings and performance‑based incentives.
- $45,000 base salary for stability.
- Uncapped monthly earnings include:
- Ramping compensation plan during the first three months.
- Commission earnings begin from the first policy sold.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Disability Insurance options, Employee Assistance Program, and elective voluntary benefits such as accident insurance, hospital indemnity, critical illness, legal assistance and pet insurance. Kinfolk become eligible on the first day of the month following start date.
