Base pay range: $29.25/hr - $41.00/hr this range is provided by American Industrial Transport - AITX. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

• AITX Repair Services is seeking candidates to fill open Mobile Railcar Repair Technician positions. Read and interpret blueprints, perform railcar repairs and maintenance, and keep good repair records.
• Perform repairs using hand and power tools and MIG/Flux/Stick Welding.
• Interpret job work orders to perform required repairs.
• Coordinate and complete repairs efficiently within assigned hours.
• Follow all safety rules, keep the work area clean, and comply with all AITX EHS Policies.
• Ensure AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met.

• 3+ years of experience in the rail and tank car repair industry.
• Ability to read and write English at a high school level.
• Ability to work in heat, cold, and all-weather conditions.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and on top of and under railcars, as well as around railroad tracks.
• Knowledge of machines and tools required to weld, cut and gouge.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic blueprints and schematics.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
