The Lead Carpenter is directly responsible for the efficient, cost-effective operation of jobsites to create a great experience for clients. This includes directly communicating with clients and subcontractors; creating and maintaining records; managing the jobsite culture and setting an example of company values; performing a variety of advanced carpentry tasks; and training and managing crew members. Excellent organization skills and quick thinking make the Lead Carpenter an invaluable member of the Client Services Team.

• Maintain cleanliness of site, crew, and subcontractors

• Coordinate with Construction Manager and Project Manager to plan workflow
• Help to approve and follow project schedule
• Determine tools and materials needed each day
• Plan daily tasks for self and other carpenters
• Ensure site is prepared for subcontractors and assist them as needed
• Perform a variety of rough and finish carpentry as project requires

• Control jobsite binder
• Complete and track daily reports
• Ensure all jobsite documents and plans are present and up to date
• Communicate between clients, Construction Manager, and Project Manager
• Maintain progress photos
• Keep records of materials, accidents, and damages

• Possess a thorough understanding of company safety protocols
• Be well versed in action plans in the event of a disaster or injury
• Maintain a clean and orderly jobsite
• Hold other employees and subcontractors to safety standards
• Regularly inspect tools and equipment for proper and safe function
