Salary: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

We are recruiting Underground Utility Locators in your area for a rewarding career in a drug‑free environment. Our team members are responsible, self‑motivated individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are committed to safety, detail, and quality.

• Drive a company vehicle from home to job sites in response to routine ticket requests, emergencies, and relocations.
• Use mapping tools, locating equipment, and other information to find underground utilities, including electric, gas, telephone, and other communication lines.
• Indicate utility locations with paint, flags, and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel or appropriate authorities.
• Respond to after‑hours emergency call‑outs following the established rotation schedule.

• Computer skills
• Valid driver’s license in the applicable state of employment
• Ability to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule
• Subject to Vannguard’s Drug‑Free Workplace Program and pre‑employment drug screening
• Self‑management and timely communication with supervisors and clients

• Drive 50 to 300+ miles daily as required by the assigned geographic locating area
• Get in and out of a vehicle 50+ times a day
• Stand and walk lengthy distances (1+ mile) over uneven terrain in all weather conditions
• Sit for long periods of time while driving
• Lift and/or move 50 to 150 pounds
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• Driver’s license (Required)

• Multiple locations

Full‑time

• 10‑hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Overtime

• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
• Utility locating: 1 year (Preferred)
