NASDA Part‑time Field Enumerator – Jones County

NASDA – National Association of State Departments of Agriculture is currently seeking part‑time capable individuals to support our organization. Prior experience in sales or agriculture, working with diverse personalities, and possessing basic mathematical skills are highly desirable.

• Conduct in‑person and telephone interviews with a diverse range of agricultural operations, collecting accurate and unbiased data.
• Perform crop counts in designated fields and examine crop status in corn or soybean fields.
• Enter detailed data gathered from operators in a timely manner and report daily progress, time, and mileage.
• Follow up on compliance, training and reporting requirements as instructed.

• Mandatory private workspace with functional telephone and minimal distractions.
• Reliable vehicle for travel related to field enumerator duties; ability to travel up to 250 mi. quarterly for training.
• Flexibility with schedule, including possible evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency in computer systems and/or iPad, and experience working in a deadline‑driven environment with multiple tasks.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 40 lb., walk unassisted on uneven ground for up to 100 yd.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Starts at $17.75 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement and required supplies. Enumerators receive on‑job training, flexibility, and opportunities for professional advancement.
