Summary: The purpose of this position is to promote and provide a safe, secure, and interactive campus community. It is responsible for overseeing and sustaining a safe and secure campus for all residents. The Assistant Coach will assist the head coach in the recruitment and retention of a full competitive roster. The Coach follows all institutional and athletic regulations in administering the program, supports student athlete development, coordinates travel, game schedules, recruiting, equipment inventory, and game management duties.
Job Responsibilities- Manage housing according to building assignments and oversee Resident Assistants; assist with application review and hiring; take call during scheduled weekends and oversee all buildings and RAs.
- Inspect assigned buildings daily.
- Manage on‑and‑off campus activities.
- Process housing applications, assign rooms to new students and those moving within the residence system.
- Review weekly RA on‑duty reports; schedule and conduct weekly RA meetings, monthly dormitory meetings, and nightly dormitory hall monitoring.
- Serve on coaching staff to provide an environment for successful recruitment and retention; support student athlete success in both academics and sport; coordinate travel, game schedules, and game management.
- Provide for program needs within allocated budget, including inventory of all equipment and uniforms; assist with maintenance of team and college equipment; develop on‑and‑off campus relationships; assist with program and department fundraising.
- Ensure compliance with all institutional, conference and national rules and regulations.
- Provide game‑day management duties and drive teams to sporting events as required for all athletic programs.
- Assist Housing Department as needed.
- Work and communicate professionally with others, perform in a manner benefiting student learning, support overall district success, and perform other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirement: Associate’s degree required;
Bachelor's preferred. Experience may substitute for education. College coaching and scholarship management experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a diverse population of students; organize multiple priorities and job duties, and knowledge of general office procedures and protocols.
Base Wage$40,000–$53,000 annually (actual salary based on experience and education).
