JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Activities Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Health

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans, coordinates, and facilitates recreation league activities for all ages in the community
• Local tournament planning for all athletic events
• Schedules Youth space in Rec Center for usage by all ages of youth
• Scheduling of youth activities including cultural, sewing, crafting, and other non-sports related events
• Responsible for recruiting and scheduling cultural/craft instructors
• Work with Rec Coordinator to ensure adequate staffing levels for all activities
• Work with Youth Assistant to coordinate sports sign-ups including but not limited to MFL, MASC, lacrosse, etc.
• Coordinate trainings and camps for youth sports in community
• Responsible for equipment inventory and general equipment maintenance for all youth sports
• Responsible for coach recruitment for various league offerings and youth sports
• Assist with Summer Youth Activities Program
• Maintain clean and friendly Youth space
• Track event participation for program evaluation
• Assist with file maintenance of program participants
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree required,
• Minimum 2 years experience in youth programming or combination of education and experience
• Must pass background check
• Evenings and weekend hours required
• Must be insurable by Tribal vehicle insurance policy
• Must obtain CPR and First Aide Certification within one (1) month
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and planning skills;

SUPERVISION:

• Supervised by the Recreation Coordinator

SALARY:

• Annual Salary Range: DOQ
